Engagements

Clarissa + Tristan met when they were both going to school at the University of Guelph. Years later, they moved to a new town to start their dream careers during a pandemic, and after some rescheduling, they’re finally just a couple of months from their wedding day!

Since they met while they were in university, the arboretum on campus was the perfect location for their engagement session. Plus, they were able to bring their dog, which was an important addition to the session :) (I’m not sure if Guelph arboretum weddings are a thing – but they should be! This place is so gorgeous!)

What were your first impressions when you met?

Tristan’s first impression of Clarissa: seemed intelligent, good conversation

What made you two connect so well in the beginning?

We both work with animals now and have always had a love for animals

What is your secret to a great relationship?

If we have a disagreement we always solve it before we go to sleep

What are some things on your bucket list together?

Travelling, raising a family together

to describe Clarissa: Beautiful, smart, caring to describe Tristan: Goofy, kind-hearted, and loving

Favorite thing to do on a date night?

Hiking, dinner, and ice cream

Favorite type of movie to watch together?

We don’t watch movies together because we don’t like the same genres, but we love tv comedies

What are some ways that you prioritize your relationship during the wedding planning process?

The planning process has been relatively easy for us, luckily we both want the same things for our special day

What are you looking forward to for your wedding day?

Seeing all of our friends and family in one place, especially after this past year and a half

What has been your favourite part of wedding planning so far?

Food tastings!!
