Wedding photographers in London Ontario are BACK after a long few months! I kicked the ‘season’ off with Kayla and Mac’s engagement session at Rock Glen Conservation Area. I couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect!
 
These two were winners of a giveaway I did for Valentine’s Day. Kayla and Mac love spending time in nature together, so Rock Glen was the perfect fit… At least, after their original plans with the magnolias had to be rescheduled. They brought a picnic basket, some champagne, and some fresh strawberries. Truly making the session so unique to them. I loved it!
 
They were so easy-going in front of the camera, and an absolute delight to work with. Here’s a little bit of their story, from their perspective!

What were your first impressions when you met?

When we met, it was truly love at first sight! Kayla thought Mac was quite handsome and hilarious, and definitely was her person. Mac told Kayla the night they met that he knew that he’d never forget it.

What made you two connect so well in the beginning?

We got to talking about music, and found out we had the same favourite Arkells song, “Book Club”. We listened to it together the night we met. We also connected over our moms doing her doctorates at the same time at the same school.

Who said “I love you” first?

Kayla did! We had only been dating for a few weeks and we had been saying “I appreciate you” as a placeholder for a week or two. When you know you know!

What is your secret to a great relationship?

Find love with someone you could have fun at the grocery store with! Life is full of exciting things, but it’s best to enjoy the average everyday things with the one you love most.

What are the 3 best words you would use to describe each other?

Kayla would describe Mac as kind, caring and hilarious Mac would describe Kayla as big-hearted, gets back up when she gets knocked down, and silly.

Favorite thing to do on a date night?

We love to go outside and go on hikes! Anywhere new and outdoors is the best!

We love funny movies!

What are some ways that you prioritize your relationship during the wedding planning process?

Blocking out time for no wedding planning talk and just to enjoy this season in our life!

What are you looking forward to for your wedding day?

Getting to share our love with our family and friends!

What has been your favorite part of wedding planning so far?

Sampling caterers for sure!

What is one thing that has surprised you about planning a wedding?

How many tiny things pile up!

What are some things on your bucket list together?

We would like to visit all the major national parks in North America, visit Germany and the Netherlands (where our families are from), and buy a hobby farm.
