Being able to spend time with friends on the weekend is quickly coming to an end with spring right around the corner, so this weekend I took advantage of having a Saturday off to join these two (and a few other wedding pros with the same idea!) to celebrate their wedding with some St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans at their stag and doe :) So today, I figured what better time to share their engagement session on the blog!
I was so excited to get a chance to do an engagement session at Rock Glen Conservation Area and Grand Bend… Two of my favourite places in our little part of the world! And since I talk to Kassandra on a weekly (sometimes even daily) basis, we had a million ideas to work with, too :)
Rock Glen is gorgeous all year round, but we picked the most perfect time to visit. The trees were so full and green and the water was warm enough to adventure down the river. We all spent just as much of our time there admiring how beautiful it was as we did taking photos!
We headed to Grand Bend to wrap up Kassandra and Jake’s engagement session with a gorgeous sunset, with a quick stop for dinner beforehand (my favourite perk of doing engagement photos with friends!). I realized that Jake and I were kindred spirits when we ordered identical meals, and just as we were finishing up, the clouds that had rolled in started to part just enough to give us a little peak at sunset like we had hoped.
It was a perfect afternoon with friends and I’m sure is only just a taste of what’s to come on their wedding day :) You can see more of these two on a blog post from last year, just after they got engaged! Click here
