| Fall at Fanshawe Conservation Area |
Like with most couples this year, my time with Julia and Sean started with email exchanges and video calls thanks to COVID, but we finally had a chance to meet in person for their engagement session a couple of weeks ago – officially kicking off fall portrait season for me!
It was a little cool at first, but once we got started and wandered into the trails of Fanshawe Conservation Area we warmed up pretty quickly. These long tree tunnels are some of my favourites – I nicknamed them “Narnia” because they look like something from a fairytale! It was the perfect fit for the lush greens, trees, and nature-y vibe Julia was hoping for, for their photos :)
After exploring the trails, we headed to the other side of the park to get closer to the river and had the most perfect view of the trees that had already started changing colour across the water. At this point Julia and Sean were almost posing themselves and making everything so easy for me – that’s my favourite part of any engagement session! It’s always a bit nerve-wracking being in front of the camera at first, but there’s always a turning point moment where I’m watching through my camera lens, and I see lots of laughter and the nerves just fall away.
Here are some of my favourites – I hope you enjoy them!
