Carly and Iain’s engagement photos are some of my favourites this year. They’re fun to not only work with, but just to be around. The love, happiness, and care-free energy that they have is contagious, and you can see it come through in every shot I took!
Our first stop was at the field where they play ball hockey. A spot like this is the perfect way to start an engagement session – somewhere personal to the couple, where they are going to feel comfortable. Being in front of the camera can be an intimidating place, so little things like familiar places can really help make a difference when an engagement session is just starting off. The more comfortable you are, the more natural the photos turn out in the end!
After finishing up there, we headed to Fanshawe Conservation Area (my home-away-from-home during the fall!). We took a walk alongside the Thames River at sunset, had some laughs, and captured some amazing moments. In a few short weeks I’ll be joining them on the water again, this time in the Niagara area for their wedding day! I’ve been looking forward to this one all year and can’t believe it’s finally arrived!
