Cherry blossoms in Ontario are hard to come by, but we have the most perfect magnolia trees in Springbank Park that make up for it and then some!
I had the pleasure of photographing Paige and Andrew’s engagement session just before they headed to Newfoundland for their wedding day, and it was an absolute dream. We met at Springbank Park, and I couldn’t believe how perfect the weather was for a sunset session. The sky was clear, and the sun was just starting to dip below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the park and through the trees.
The magnolia trees were in full bloom, too, and the sight was breathtaking.
The light was perfect, and Paige and Andrew looked absolutely radiant. They were so comfortable with each other, which made my job as their photographer a breeze. We laughed and joked around as we wandered through the park, capturing some truly beautiful moments along the way.
At one point, I had Paige and Andrew wrap their arms around one another for an ‘almost kiss’, and I captured a shot of them laughing as the glow of sunset was peeking through the trees. It was an absolutely stunning shot, and one of my favorites from the entire session!
As the sun finally set, we wrapped up the shoot and made our way back to the parking lot. Paige and Andrew were all smiles, and I knew we had captured some truly special moments.
It’s quickly become one of my favourite magnolia sessions, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of Paige and Andrew’s engagement story. The magnolia trees at Springbank Park made for the perfect backdrop, and the warm spring evening made everything feel magical!
