My first wedding anniversary fell on a Saturday. In June. Aka the start of peak wedding season here in Ontario. Needless to say, my husband and I knew to plan well in advance to celebrate our anniversary another time so that I could spend the day at another wedding instead… And I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to have spent it!
Ally and Dan live in Georgia, and they entrusted their wedding day to the amazing team at Unmistakably You Boutique Wedding Coordination to help make planning their wedding from out of the country a breeze. There was a perfect mix of blues and silvers in all of their florals and décor, and touches of their travel theme popped up in their centerpieces, guest book and seating chart!
Clouds started rolling in just as the ceremony was getting started, but thankfully the removeable seat cushions provided a bit of cover for everyone and the rain ended as quickly as it started. And who can forget the old saying that a little rain on your wedding day is good luck?!
My favourite part of the day had to be towards the end of the reception, when Ally, Dan, and their friends and family all hit the dance floor to dance to “Jai Ho,” the song from the movie Slumdog Millionaire. This is a tradition whenever they all get together for a wedding, and they danced every move perfectly! It was so great to watch while they all laughed and had so much fun together. It was the best way to end the night!
Thanks so much, Ally and Dan, for inviting us to be apart of your wedding day! <3
