As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the honour of capturing so many special moments… But Kate and JD’s rainy wedding day will always hold a special place in my heart.

Despite the gloomy weather, Kate and JD’s spirits were high, and their love for each other was evident in every glance, every touch, and every smile they shared.

The rain interrupted their ceremony, but it didn’t dampen their excitement or their determination to make the best of their day. After a short break, the rain passed, and the ceremony finally went ahead! As they exchanged vows, you could feel the love and commitment they had for each other.

After the ceremony, we used their homemade arbor for family photos afterward. Then, we headed to the beach for photos with the wedding party! Kate’s white dress popped against the grey skies and JD’s blue suit added a pop of colour to the gloomy afternoon.

The reception at Oakwood Resort was lively, and the rain outside only added to the cozy atmosphere inside. The guests were all smiles, and Kate and JD’s first dance was particularly touching. As they swayed together to the music, their love for each other was palpable. I’m so honoured to be able to capture such special moments like these!

Despite the weather, Kate and JD’s wedding was one of the most memorable and beautiful weddings I have ever photographed. It was a reminder that sometimes the best memories are made when things don’t go according to plan! They embraced the rain and made their day unforgettable, and I’m so happy to have been a part of it.
