This day was a dream for this London Ontario wedding photographer. I loved so many things about it, but the people that I met were, by far, the best part!
I met Maisam and Mustafa a month before their wedding day. They hired me as their London Ontario Wedding Photographer to take their engagement photos! I immediately thought they were the loveliest couple. When their wedding day arrived and I got to meet the rest of their family, I could see that everyone else was the same. They were so warm and welcoming to Emily and me!
Mustafa arrived to pick Maisam up from her parents’ house. Guests threw flower petals as the fun got started. Traditional music played with drums, singing, and dancing in the driveway. It was so great seeing everyone together to celebrate the newlyweds!
We headed to Ivey Park for some photos at Ivey Park afterward. The tiniest bit of rain breaking through in the middle kept everything looking so green! As a London Ontario wedding photographer, it’s one of my favourite locations. There’s something new and beautiful to add to the photo every few feet no matter where you’re standing. But honestly, the background faded away once I started taking photos. The emotion between Maisam and Mustafa was all that I could see! The happiness and love in their smiles, especially :)
And then before we knew it, it was time for their reception…
They opted for a big tent to be able to keep everyone distanced. Weddings in 2020 come with their fair share of guidelines to keep everyone safe! It was beautifully decorated inside. There were vineyard chairs, white tablecloths, and lots of greenery! Plus, in true pandemic-wedding fashion, there were monogrammed face masks for everyone, and individual hand sanitizers at each place setting, too :)
