This was my first time heading to the Kawartha Lakes area for a wedding, and I cannot wait to get back! From the second I met Kevin when I arrived just before the ceremony, I knew the day was going to be perfect.
I hadn’t actually met Kevin or Natalie in person, yet – they had booked with me via email, and were referred to me by their videographer JMT Film & Photo (who I absolutely adore!). But I was instantly welcomed by Kevin’s groomsmen, and once I found Kevin he greeted me with the biggest smile. I could feel the happiness just seeping off of him, and I couldn’t wait to meet Natalie, too!
The wedding was held at Natalie’s parent’s home, and with help from some neighbours, they built a beautiful deck and gazebo for the ceremony with a gorgeous view of Rice Lake in the background. Natalie looked so stunning as she walked down the aisle with both of her parents, and Kevin’s smile was everything as he saw her for the first time :)
After the ceremony, a horse-drawn carriage took the bride and groom and their wedding party to a beautiful overlook of the lake where we did some photos, before heading to a barn that had The. Most. Stunning. Light! We had less than 10 minutes for photos once we got there but these two rocked it in every way and more than made up for it!
Then it was time for the reception. Natalie and Kevin’s MC did an amazing job and had the whole room laughing from start to finish, and every speech was so heartfelt. The most stunning sunset set the tone for the rest of the night, which was so perfect, it’s hard to find the words. Not only were Natalie and Kevin a dream to work with, but their family and their guests were so nice and so welcoming. I can’t thank everyone enough for that!
Natalie and Kevin – congratulations, and all the best as you build your lives together! I hope our paths cross again someday soon :)
