Century Wedding Barn hosted Sara and Kevin’s wedding reception. They were some of the first of many Life is Beautiful Photography couples that had to reschedule their wedding over the last two years. They had a small at-home ceremony last year. Then the day finally arrived in May for them to celebrate with all their family and friends!
There were so many happy tears shared and everyone was smiling and having so much fun. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off our 2022 wedding season!
Here are some of our favourite moments, with more of the story from Sara and Kevin’s perspective!

Were you nervous, or calm and excited while getting ready?
Excited! We were finally going to see our friends and family after years of lockdowns and restrictions. We had our legal ceremony last year so we weren’t nervous at all.

How did your family help you in the beginning of the day at Century Wedding Barn?
Our families were incredible and helped with every aspect of the reception. We could not have done it without them. They helped plan, decorate, tear down, arrange rentals… and helped keep everyone organized on the day of the reception!

What were your thoughts when you first saw each other?
Sara: My first thought was how incredibly lucky I am.
Kevin: My first immediate thought was how beautiful Sara looked, she was glowing.

What moments of your day will you never forget?
We will never forget how it felt to finally be able to hug our friends and family. Sara still gets teary when she thinks about it.

What advice would you give to a newly engaged couple?
Take your time finding your vendors. The right vendors will make the process easier.

What are you looking forward to the most about being married?
The best part of being married is having a partner. We get to share the ups and downs, the laughs, and the chores!

Did you whisper anything sweet in each other’s ears during the first dance?
Our reception was almost a year after our ceremony. Kevin whispered happy anniversary and told me how beautiful I looked. I told him that I was just as happy today as I was a year ago.

How excited were you for the food at the reception? What did you eat?
Belmont Catering had a fantastic buffet for us, it was delicious. Chicken, roast beef, potatoes and lots of vegetables. Dessert was incredible! We were lucky enough to have an assortment of pies and cheesecakes. We’re getting hungry thinking about it.

What did you love about your vendors?
Everything! All our vendors were absolutely phenomenal and made the planning process effortless for us. They kept us organized through all the re-scheduling and restrictions. They went above and beyond every step of the way to make sure that we had everything we needed/wanted.

What are your honeymoon plans?
We are heading to Nova Scotia later this month!
